Allan Grunder

Allan recently wrote the following notification to "Hum". "Year ‘58 is experiencing sad news of late. I have lost my dear wife Linda to pancreatic cancer April 16, 2012. Some classmates will remember meeting her at reunions. I suggest sending a brief notice out to announce her passing." Linda was born in Ottawa on May 14, 1941. She attended Lisgar and Nepean high schools and made Ottawa her lifelong home. Linda was a graduate of Acadia University, completed a dietetic internship in Vancouver General Hospital and worked in Montreal, Ottawa and England. She worked at Agriculture Canada for Food Advisory Services until 1974. Linda was a long-time member of Ottawa Home Economics Association, and former volunteer for Ottawa Meals-on-Wheels. Devoted, patient and caring wife and mother, she will be remembered most for the way that she lived, with grace, compassion, integrity and love. Linda was a loyal friend to many people, who valued her abilities as a good listener and caring, thoughtful ways.
